(in case you were wondering that is my most frequently asked question)
i tend to occasionally stray - i'm not completely monogamous when it comes to makeup - but Make Up For Ever HD Foundation is one that i always return to. when i received the above kit for Christmas i was relieved because my stock was running low and i have not been out of this foundation for 2+ years. true love.
i was most surprised by the kabuki brush included in the kit ($79 for the whole thing - an incredible steal). i knew the foundation was a-maze-ing and the primer and finishing powder weren't bad either, but the kabuki was something new for me. i've applied makeup with a foundation brush, a fluffy brush, a dual fiber brush but never with a kabuki brush simply because kabuki's are expensive - this girl's on a budget.
let me just say that applying my MUFE HD Foundation with my MUFE kabuki brush was an a-ha! moment in makeup. if you are new to makeup, new to foundation, a seasoned expert or a middle man, applying your MUFE HD Foundation with kabuki will give you the most flawless finish ever. the best combination in makeup since Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage and the Beauty Blender.
this next product - the Make Up For Ever Pro Finish powder was sent to me for exclusive preview last month (i included that last bit because it made me feel cool). finally Make Up For Ever has supplied us with a pressed powder that gives subtle coverage when applied alone or heavier coverage when applied wet or over foundation. up until this point i have been using the MAC Pro Fix but the shades have always been just a little off. thank you MUFE for solving that dilemma.
if you are a subtle kind of girl and like a light face coverage this is an excellent option. combine it with your HD Foundation kit and you are solid gold.

I admit that I have strayed from MUFE HD Foundation but I keep going back to it. It really is the best there is!
ReplyDeleteI have a couple questions.. :) What is the best eye shadows? And the best pencil liners? Who makes the best? Affordable but good quality? :)
ReplyDeleteBecky, I have several eyeshadow brands that I use regularly, they include Urban Decay, MAC, MUFE, Shu Uemura & Laura Mercier. There are other brands that I like but many don't have the color selection that the bigger brands do. Affordable but good quality would be Revlon - their eyeshadow quads are really great.
DeletePencil liners - my go-to black is an old Rimmel $2.99 black liner. Great for smudging. MAC and MUFE have great Kohl liners also, just more expensive :)
Thank you so much Kristie!! :)
DeleteFantastic kit! I feel that way about Nara sheer glow
