Burlington Stores Annual Coat Drive

this year the girls and i participated in the Burlington Stores Annual Coat Drive. this coat drive, #CoatNotes is a great national initiative that aims to aid local communities in staying warm and you can feel good about donating a coat that no longer works for your family. these coats help those locally who are in need. when you drop off a coat you receive 10% your entire store purchase as a way for Burlington to say 'Thank You'.

with two enthusiastic little ladies we went through our coat closet to find gently used coats that were too small for the kiddos. we found one of our old favorites, Co-man's hooded leather jacket. i still remember the day he walked in my room wearing that jacket and his aviators and said 'Mom, take a picture - this looks good!'. i love him so much and i love that coat. because it is a few sizes too small it makes the perfect item.

we packed up the coat and headed to Burlington where we dropped off the jacket in the easy to find bin located at the front of the store. the girls felt so good knowing they were helping someone locally and asked when we could do this again. check out the video below to see their reactions firsthand:
