we recently took a trip to the Happiest Place On Earth a.k.a. Disneyland. it was such a whirlwind of a weekend since we left Friday night and returned Monday, leaving us only two days to spend at the park! it is so nice to take a minute and get away with the family. it leaves you feeling better connected after you remove yourself from your 'world' and escape to an adventure. sure we had mishaps along the way but it makes for great stories, right?!
before we left i tried to gather up all the Disney goods i could find. the older i get the more i want to make this a magical experience for the kids. i don't want it to be just another trip, i want it to be special.
below are some of my favorite items i packed for myself including the new Disney line from London Soho Beauty. they are offering Disney Princess Belle items for a limited time and the fluffy brush included in the three pack brush set was an instant favorite of mine. i have never had a domed blending brush like this one and i absolutely loved the way it applied crease color.
the large travel bag included in the Instagram photo below is a Veeshee original. Veeshee allows you to design and customize your own bags. i selected this large tote and it makes for the perfect travel bag. i love the monogram for personalization and i kept the outside colors simple so that i could coordinate it with my luggage (i'm a weirdo that way). it is large enough that it works well as a weekender (i just used it on our weekend getaway to Seattle!) and small enough to carry around as a tote (this was a lifesaver at Disney. we put all our valuables in this bag and each time we got on a ride we could park the stroller and grab the bag and go! no worries about stolen items.) the more i use this bag the more i love it.
next up, Disney photos. i don't want to overload you with shots from Disney but we really did have an amazing time. before leaving town i discovered a local clothing designer (Two Chicks by twochickscreate) who creates some of the cutest children's clothes ever! she put together these custom Disney outfits for the girls and i just adored the cute style and clever print mixing. the first day i snapped a lot of pics but the second day was much hotter and they didn't last long in their clothes and headbands LOL and i forgot my camera in the hotel. boo! picture and link to her cute clothing shop are at the end of this post.
i tried to keep my clothing and hair simple i.e. lots of ripped denim and braids. my two favorites. to shop the items i wore i put together a round up below.
