New York Fashion Week {First Day}

my first stop at Fashion Week was the Rebecca Minkoff show. i waited patiently in a sea of fashionista bloggers to take my seat for the upcoming show. as we swarmed the seating area i took a moment to capture my sweaty face (thank you 85 degrees and 80% humidity) as a moment i never want to forget, my first fashion show:

seated across the aisle were a couple faces you may recognize:

Shenae Grimes, Ryan Lochte, Lauren Conrad
 and while the clothes were oh so gorgeous, it was hard not to avoid these baby blues:

i captured this shot by jumping out of my seat and pushing my way through googly-eyed girls to snap the pic. i figured this was my one chance to get close to get an up-close photo of Lochte, so why not make the most of it?

next stop was the Nicole Miller fashion show. i headed backstage to meet the lead artist for MAC--James Kaliardos--and hear his take on the looks created:

a smoky eye was created with a hint of rock & roll and a touch of nature. in fact, including elements of nature was a theme throughout the looks as well as the collection. this nail design was created by CND nails titled Galaxy Glam Mani. the models had their nails painted black followed by a press-on nail with each galaxy design hand-painted. i got the exclusive how-to and will be sharing the details once i return to the Mile High City.

it is now 1:30 am and i have a 7:15 call time, which means this glamour gal needs some shut eye. more pics and tips tomorrow!

  5. Awesome race for everyone! It has been chilly in the morning! It always takes me some time to get used to it again. It's funny how I'm cold when it's 40 now but in March 40 will feel like a heat wave. )
