Infiniti Pro by Conair Curl Secret

the latest craze in hairstyling has been the automatic curling iron. i've tried the curling iron that rotates for you and it was unbelievably complicated, time consuming and cumbersome. however, the new Infiniti Pro by Conair Curl Secret is amazingly simple, easy to use and gives you gorgeous curls for days.

check out my quick video tutorial i posted on Instagram here.

the unit picks up small portions of hair and automatically winds it into the curl chamber which heats the hair for five seconds. after five seconds a beep indicates that the curl is ready and you simply pull the wand away from your hair and the curled hair falls out of the chamber.

before you buy i must warn you, not everything was peaches and cream. i had intermittent tangles where my hair wasn't brushed out enough prior to curling and it would get caught. the wand would beep an indicator warning and the hair would get released. there was one point where i went to release the hair and it didn't move, that tangle was stuck in the chamber. after a momentary panic and a few pulled hairs, the tangled released. the bald spot i was imagining on my scalp never appeared and i breathed a sigh of relief.

the wand curls quickly, evenly and effectively. to curl your hair like this with a regular curling iron would probably take twice the amount of time. i was able to curl my entire head of hair in approximately fifteen minutes. curling hair in one inch sections with a regular curling iron is much more tedious.

the curl held all day and into the next. i was supremely impressed with the curling power. the downside of that was there was no curl size option, each curl equal to curling around a one inch barrel which is pretty small and not exactly the current trend in hairstyling.

did i love it? yes. would i buy it? still deciding...

  1. Now I KNOW I have to get one!!! Do you think if you rake your hands through your fresh curl that it will loosen it more?
