Fashion Friday {Style Inspiration}

there are people in our lives, and in the media, who seem to inspire a certain style within us. whether i am reading a magazine, looking at artwork, or watching television i often see something that will motivate my style of dress.
for example, i love Audrey Hepburn. every time i see Breakfast at Tiffany's i want to pull out my LBD and plan a night out on the town with Tman.
or perhaps i am looking at my favorite artist, Mark Rothko, and the simplicity and beauty of his work makes me want to simplify in my own life. maybe i'll just stick to black leggings and a solid tee.

even listening to one of my favorite cd's will provoke the idea of the old Emo standby: corduroy pants, thrift store sweater, and white belt (big belt buckle optional).

it is like that saying you always heard from your parents as a child, "You are known by the company you keep". i am just curious to know, what kind of company are you keeping?

xo,

  1. Sometimes my preschoolers inspire me to try a new hairstyle or try to find or make a certain type of top. Not like I'm trying to look like a preschooler, but you know?
