Hard Candy Cosmetics {Grail or Fail}

congratulations to the winner of the Napoleon Perdis Makeup Pallette and Seche Vite Top Coat!

here is a re-post of the Hard Candy cosmetics review i recently did for kiki creates:

let me just say that i heart Hard Candy cosmetics! let me count the ways:

1. they don't test on animals

2. their color range is spot on for the season trends

3. their price point is amahzing. seriously.

so this fall when they introduced their new fall line i was more than happy to test out some of the new products. first up, and my favorite of the group, Stroke of Gorgeous:

this felt tip liquid liner glides on smooth. i wear liquid eyeliner every.single.day. it is a must in my makeup regime and i am constantly replenishing my supply. i have tried liners ranging in price from $25-5 and let me tell you, this one is a SUPER competitor. the pointed tip allows for accurate application, the formula doesn't smudge or smear, and the price point ($5!!) is unbeatable. not only that, the product is infused with a Lash Growth Serum promoting fuller lashes. definitely on my GRAIL list, i would highly recommend it.

next up is Lashaholic:

absolutely lurved the packaging! in fact, i couldn't bring myself to throw it away. the product itself, well, meh. i like that the formula is water-resistant so that it won't flake or smudge. the volume building powder however is a little clumpy and application isn't great. for it's price point ($7) it's a worthy product. however, i have mascaras in my lineup for the same price that produce results i love. not a grail, but not a fail either.

this next product, EYE DEF brings out the Snooki in me:

this product's performance knocked me out of the water. it does not smear, smudge, or crease. you apply this once and it stays put! the colors are all metallics, so if you are going for a natural look, try a different shadow. this shimmery liquid shadow is seriously shimmery. unlike powders, which can diffuse, this product provides an almost metallic look. GREAT for smokey eyes, night outs, and fist pumping :) the price point is reasonable ($6) and the finish is true to color. on the GRAIL list for sure.

last product of the group, Stay In Line:

this is a mechnical pencil liner that even the most inexperienced can master. this pencil glides on smooth and allows for accurate application. the shades available range from subtle to showy and the formula is infused again with the Lash Grow Serum. the price point is only $5 and i heart the sponge tip for smudging. seriously, if you are a beginner, this is the place to start. add it to the GRAIL.

Hard Candy products are exclusively sold at WalMart and can be found in the cosmetic aisle. i have reviewed their products before (Lip Tattoo) and they produce one of my favorite products of all time, their shadow stick (why i haven't done a grail or fail on this yet? i don't know).

xo,
kristie
